What to expect​

This year's BDA CDS Group Conference will be held at Murrayfield Stadium on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 October 2024. 

Topics include*:

  • Dentistry for the homeless
  • Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ)
  • Oral health improvement in prisons
  • Sedation
  • Self care

*Topics subject to change whilst the programme is being confirmed.

Please note: If you are a non-member FD/VDP and you are being charged the non-member rate please email sarah.rockliff@bda.org with your name and GDC number so we can verify your status.

Please complete the booking form here and email it to events@bda.org so we can provisionally hold a place for you whilst you wait for approval. If your Trust requires an invoice to pay for your place please request an invoice request form when you submit your booking form.

The HQ hotel this year is Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket The hotel is located a short walking distance from Haymarket train and metro station.

If you feel at all unwell, we encourage you to take a lateral flow test the evening before you are due to arrive - should your test result be positive, we ask you not to attend.

If your test is negative, but you do have symptoms of COVID-19 (a new, persistent cough; a high temperature; or loss/changes to your sense of taste or smell) we kindly request you consider not attending the event to mitigate any risk to other attendees.

Clinical Case Poster – All members of the dental team working within a salaried primary care dental service (SPCDS) including trainees

Service Poster – All members of the dental team working within a SPCDS including trainees

The topics were relevant to our current practice in the CDS and I like that I can easily apply what I’ve learnt straight away.

Most engaging day of lectures for some time. Lots of ideas and insights. It’s always good to catch up with colleagues from other areas too.

Very passionate speakers and each talk had a strong message to deliver. Many efforts to enhance opportunities and awareness in special care dentistry.
