What to expect

The first lecture will be led by Nial Neeson discussing effective tools and strategies that can be immediately incorporated into daily practice, followed by a lecture by Adele Cunningham outlining the special care dentistry services in Northern Ireland including established care pathways, challenges, and opportunities for future development.

  • Discuss and break the unhelpful spiral of dental anxiety
  • Utilise effective communication and rapport-building techniques

​If you feel at all unwell, we encourage you to take a lateral flow test the evening before you are due to arrive - should your test result be positive, we ask you not to attend.

If your test is negative, but you do have symptoms of COVID-19 (a new, persistent cough; a high temperature; or loss/changes to your sense of taste or smell) we kindly request you consider not attending the event to mitigate any risk to other attendees.

The Isdell Courtyard, Riddel Hall, Queens University Belfast, 185 Stranmillis Road, Belfast BT9 5EE

The centrepiece of the site is the original Grade 2-listed red brick building, which has been sympathetically renovated to retain many original features while incorporating the best of today’s technology.

Riddel Hall also has free limited on-site parking for delegates based on a first come, first served basis. In an effort to avoid disappoint and help the environment, delegates should be encouraged to commute via alternative means.
