What to expect
The lecture will explain why having a good level of awareness and understanding of EDI issues is relevant to all dentists in tackling discrimination in dentistry and creating a fairer workplaces. The work of the BDA Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee will be outlined and some of the best learning resources reviewed.

Learning objectives
- To have knowledge of the BDA Governance Structure and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Workplan and Strategy
- To have knowledge of EDI work in the BDA and in other organisations relevant to dentists
- To understand the importance of education and training in EDI issues to recognise bias, correct poor judgement and tackle discrimination in dentistry.
