Dental tourism

The problem

Dental tourism is on the rise, and many patients are facing problems on their return, with dentists seeing the results. 95% report that they have examined patients who have travelled abroad for dental treatment. Of those, 86% say they have treated cases that developed complications.

The hard sell comes with hidden follow-up costs. 98% of patients are chasing cheaper treatments. But Two-thirds of dentists say that it costs patients at least £500 to repair the damage done to teeth. Over half report that it cost more than £1,000.

The solution

Patients need protection. Dentists have real concerns about the quality and continuity of care, and how patients can complain or seek redress.
